Elegant Royal York Hotel Wedding

It was a beautiful fall day for Alexa and Jon Micheal’s elegant Royal York Hotel Wedding in Toronto. The decor and flowers were designed to accent the existing beauty of this historical Toronto gem. No detail was overlooked and even the couples little pooch had an adorable floral wreath.

Sometimes our down town Toronto weddings have an urban or modern vibe, however Jon Michael and Alexa, wanted to embrace the romantic nostalgia of the iconic Royal York. We did this with classic ivory and blush flowers on our sleek mirrored stands which lined the aisle for the ceremony. In addition, two over sized gold urns filled with roses, hydrangeas, and foliage created a beautiful focal point and alter area for the couple to say their ‘Ido’s’.

Finally, thank you to Wedluxe Magazine for featuring this elegant Royal York Hotel wedding on their blog and to Found In Love for the stunning images. Also, as always, it is such a pleasure to work with our sweet friends at Laura & Co. Events.

We designed the space with candle light and classic flower arrangements. Our mirrored stands lined the aisle and were detailed with fresh floral arrangements and tall candelabras.  Low groupings of pillars candles accented the space and created a magical entrance way for Alexa and her bridesmaids. royal-york-hotel-wedding-ballroom-flowers

Later our team would flip the room and re-set for the reception. Since, the head table was lined with towering gold candelabras, low florals and glowed with groupings of candles to add a floral element. In addition to the head table, low centrepieces graced the guest tables. These were large and detailed flower arrangements in vintage gold mercury vessels. Flower collections included ivory garden roses, white lisianthus, cream hydrangeas and mixed foliage showcasing a beautiful display for family and friends.gold-candelabra-centrepieces-torontoivory-wedding-flowers-torontoivory-roses-centrepieces-toronto-wedding-flowersreception-toast-royal-york-hotel-wedding

A Rustic Chic Wedding At The Evergreen Brickworks

The Evergreen Brickworks event venue in Toronto was the perfect place for Erik and Seychelles rustic chic wedding. This historical gem is a restored event space with a trendy vibe.  Lots of exposed brick, and wood give a rustic and hip feel. This wedding was recently featured in the pages of Elegant Wedding Magazine and we are thrilled to share it with you!  Our pretty decor and flowers was an eclectic blend against this rustic space. Together with our friend and wedding planner Laura from Laura & Co. Events, we created a elegant and romantic space amongst the rustic framework of the room. The gallery tables lined with hand tied floral arrangements of hydrangeas, dahlias, roses and foliage in mercury vessels along with layers of candles welcomed the couples’ guests. Stringed market lights were suspended over wooden gallery tables and added to the rustic charm of the evening. What a pleasure to work with this lovely couple. Congratulations Seychelles and Erik. Thank you to Wandering Eye for sharing these beautiful images with us! For always stylish decor and flowers in the Toronto area visit us at www.rachelaclingen.com.

Jessica and James Say I Do At The Manor

What a pleasure to work with Jessica and James for their summer wedding at The Manor in Aurora. They both were amongst the sweetest of clients that I have worked with! I adore Jessica’s choice for the floral colour palette. A combination of dark and light purples, bold pinks and even corals create a vivid and fresh statement for the flowers and decor. The out door ceremony was simply decorated with two stunning florals that created a lovely focal point against the beautiful natural setting back drop. Our team transferred the pieces father the ceremony, to create a pretty backdrop behind the head table. The colourful  centrepieces were the finishing touch to the newly renovate room at the Manor. A very heart felt thank you to White Photographie for sharing these stunning images with us. We have shared a few weddings together now and I LOVE their work!
