I’m excited to share Erin and Erics’ chic wedding at the Park Hyatt in Toronto, because who doesn’t love style and sophistication all wrapped up with moody black accents. But there’s more to love here then another beautiful wedding, because the logistical challenges of a 60 minute room flip after the ceremony and a central chuppah that had to stay put for the reception make this wedding unique. The creative floor plan designed by wedding planner Melissa Baum, required strategic design for the flowers and decor and lets just say, that is right up our ally! We had to work around some logistical challenges as far as where the existing suspension points were. We proposed the idea of a floral suspension with floating floral legs that could be easily removed after the ceremony, leaving behind a spectacular floral chandelier over the dance floor. Eric and Erin loved the idea of the dual purpose feature and the rest is history. We absolutely loved working with Eric and Erin. They loved and fully embraced the modern chic look at the Park Hyatt, so we all knew going in that black details were a must! Congratulations to our beautiful couple! Thank you for trusting us with your special day. For a full list of vendors see bottom of post.
If you want some serious floral eye candy, Gianfranco and Melissas’ spectacular wedding at Chateau Le Parc will certainly not disappoint! Due to tight timelines for install, this was one of our most challenging floral instals and design to date, but let me tell you it was also one of the most rewarding!
The beautiful couple met at an Italian bakery in Woodbridge and the rest is history. Gianfranco planned the most special proposal. After a romantic walk, and while the couple picnicked under the trees at McMichael Art Gallery, Gianfranco popped the question. Working closely with Michelle from Sincerely Yours Events, the planning for an incredible wedding was in the works.
Melissas’ family were no strangers to hosting beautiful weddings. We had worked closely with this wonderful family for Melissas sisters’ memorable and unique tent wedding a year before. Creating something unique and ‘never-been-done before’ in Toronto were definitely the spear head goals for the the floral and decor. Our team created massive floral arches that spanned over the dance floor and they were perhaps, the most spectacular structures our firm has ever created. Melissa, Gianfranca and their closest family and friends spent the night magical night dancing under the dreamy arches sparkling with mini lights.
A heart felt thanks to the Martino family for trusting us with their families most special moments! Also to Sincerely Yours Events collaborating so closely on such a complex assignment. For a full list of vendors see bottom of post.
Am I ever excited to finally show you Devin and Amanda’s stunning indoor garden wedding at The Globe and Mail Centre! Amanda came to us with the most pretty palette in mind and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to bring it to life.
First though, is a little info about Devin and Amanda, because they are the sweetest couple and I love their story. They met at as teens while golfing and admired each other from afar, but it was ten years later, at a TIFF event, that the two hit it off after a discussion about their passion for food! While Amanda was managing her Ulcerative Colitis & still remains battling Lyme Disease, Devin was looking for a new place to live in 2017. The Leela’s opened their home to him, and what was planned to be a year turned into a 4 year stay! This is where “Leels & Heals” blossomed their unique love and charm as the “flowers” we are today. Devin then couldn’t resist asking for her hand in marriage on January 24th, 2020! The timing all worked perfectly for Devin, as Amanda’s best friend had a fashion event that was hosted at Casa Loma on January 24th, 2022. Amanda was set to wear one of her designs that night, which happened to also be a winter white. Amanda recalls, “We were enjoying the event when my friend told me that her dad organized a wine tasting with their family friend who worked at Blueblood Restaurant, located in Casa Loma. She listed all my favourite wines and I was sold on going for that tasting. Once we made our way down the stairs to the wine cellar the glass doors opened and I saw a ponytail popping out from the back of the cellar. My husband’s sister, Monica, is also a photographer and it was her ponytail peaking out. At that moment, I saw Devin from the corner of my eye, my voice went up 8 octaves and my jaw dropped to the floor. He had a whole thing planned to say, but he nervously got down on one knee so fast and asked me to marry him! My mind could not compute what was even happening from the shock so he had to ask it again, but it was always A MILLION TIMES YES!” Plans for an amazing wedding were on the horizon and I am so thrilled we were a part of them. See below for every fabulous decor and floral detail we created.
Together with wedding planner Ashley Pigott, our team created the most magical and dramatic indoor garden for the beautiful couple. Perhaps one of the most notable design features was the massive double tiered floral chandelier suspended over the dance floor. Every detail was curated with love and passion and I’m so thankful we were a part of it.
“Prior to getting engaged, I saw Rachel’s instagram and thought, her work is like a fairytale. I truly could not comprehend how her team created the magic they did. It was beyond talent and mastery, truly wizards at their craft! I loved watching her creativity and how passionate about the vision and colours I had in mind. Not only that, I felt like she saw the vision as something deeper than just another beautiful wedding. I will always treasure our times together.”
