It was a summer like no other, but amidst a global pandemic, so many found reason to celebrate beautiful moments with small and intimate parties. Adjusting to new social distancing rules and pandemic protocol, we are excited to show how very lovely little parties can be. When our friend, Toronto wedding planner Ashley Pigott, wanted to collaborate, we were thrilled to create a little ‘small party magic’ together. El fresco parties are the most wonderful way to celebrate safely and after all, what girl doesn’t love a pretty boho inspired picnic, because friendships are not cancelled and neither are small and intimate beautiful celebrations. Oh and by the way, what fun did our team have.. such positive energy and support for one another, and although this assignment was a creative shoot, we kind of made it our little party… after all, we still all have so much to be thankful for. Photographed by the talented Will Reid Photography, we are in love with every capture of all the fun we had that day. Full list of vendors at bottom of post.
Amidst a global pandemic, Ross and Suham decided to celebrate their love with their family in an intimate backyard wedding. Can we just all agree how pretty and special, small weddings are? Let me just tell you that this one was extra special for us to design because the groom is none other than my big brother. A short engagement called for a quick action plan and the planning began. Planning a wedding during the co-vid19 social regulations allowed us to get creative in how guests could participate safely and from afar. Many friends watched on line and a ‘drive through’ receiving line allowed the couple to safely engage with friends while receiving congratulations and best wishes. Of course talking flowers and decor was a high lite! Inspired by our mothers blue and white ‘Shelly’ bone china, we designed a pretty palette including, hues of blue, white and a pop of hydrangea green. With only family in attendance, we were able to include pieces of our mothers china in the place settings. Both Ross and I are suckers for sentiments so this was a win win! My talented sister Rosalyn made all the sweets and cakes, which made dessert extra special! On top of that, my handsome hubby, officiated the nuptials so this was just all around about family coming together, to pull together and to celebrate the goodness of God. You see, our family suffered tragic loss when Ross’s first wife, my very special sister-in-law passed away unexpectedly. We miss her dearly, but are thankful for new beginnings, new friendships, and new love. Many of our vendor friends jumped in to help make this day extra special and we are so thankful. Congratulations to these love birds and welcome to the family Suham!
Thought about an intimate winter wedding? Javier and Veronica’s gorgeous wedding at The Symes gives me all the warm and cozy feels. These two love birds crossed oceans to be together. Often separated by continents, their love stood the test of time and in front of close friends and family the two said ‘I do’. Javier and Veronica were the recipients of Toronto’s Luxury Wedding Giveaway! A large group of Toronto event vendors brought their talents together to gift an incredible wedding to the sweet couple. Planned by Ashley Pigott Events, the day was flawless. Our design team was excited to transform the cool event venue The Symes into a winter floral wonderland with the most spectacular blossom lined aisle and stunning flower canopy. Thousands of hanging flowers made the most romantic dance floor an and I can’t even tell you how many white winter amaryllis were used! Guests dined under white blossom trees and surrounded by layers of candles. A full list of vendors can be found at the end of the post.
