There were a few different reasons I loved working with Skylar and Adam for their stunning wedding at Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. First off, we had worked closely with some of Adams’ siblings for their weddings and so we have to come to love this family. We also loved both Adam and Skyars creative input into their wedding design. From our first meeting, they both knew the direction they wanted to take for the floral and decor. Stylish, chic, and not over done. (it also had to be different then the other family weddings) Together with wedding planner Melissa Baum, we checked the boxes. But I also loved their engagment story because I knew it would be a good one! Sky and Adams’ story started when they met on a dating app. Little did they know, Sky’s best friend happened to be Adams’ first cousin. Six years and a home later Adam proposed.
Adam the creative an romatic type thought outside the box for the most romantic proposal location. Sky’s office is in a historical Toronto landmark and has an unbelievable concert hall on the main floor. Adam managed to book this concert hall for the special occasion.
At the end of the work day, Sky’s boss asked her to go into the concert hall to introduce herself to one of her new colleagues. When she opened the door, Adam was there with Candles, rose pedals, and a legendary concert hall all to ourselves. He popped the question and she said yes, of course. The rest is history!
I loved the simplicity and repetition of their design. White stemmed roses on repeat. The chuppah design perhaps crossed the line of ‘understated’ but it was the one thing Sky and Adam wanted fullness and texture.
I love how it turned out and was delighted once again to add a precious family tapestry to the design.
Thank you Adam and Skylar for trusting us with your special day!
