A Shabby Chic Wedding at Glenerin Inn & Spa

The quaint Glenerin Inn and Spa, was the venue of choice for our gorgeous couples’ Kristen and Taylor’s lovely shabby chic wedding. Ok, so I’ll admit it, Kristen is a special bride, yes all our brides are special, but Kristen, well to be honest, I’m dating myself here, but yes, she was the most adorable little flower girl at my own wedding over 20 years ago! Kristen loves all things pretty but with a little bit of a rustic twist. For this reason her decor was accented with birch and burlap accents. I loved this couples mix of decor elements. The custom designed centrepieces were simply gorgeous. Mounds of fresh babysbreath graced the tops of our vintage white candelabras. Sleek candlesticks filled with floating candles accented the base of each centrepiece and added an intimate and romantic glow to the dining room. Thank you Kristen and Taylor for choosing us to be a part of your wedding vision. You both are beautiful inside and out! xo Another warm thank you to our friends at Rowell Photo for capturing the beauty of this special wedding!

A Wedding At Windermere House Muskoka

Well it may have rained at Windermere House on Darren and Krista’s September Muskoka wedding but the love prevailed and guests enjoyed a lovely intimate ceremony in the dining room instead of what was to be on the front lawn. A quick change of plans for our decor team but all in all it ended up a gorgeous ceremony. Krista and Darren did not want the typical rustic Muskoka feel but rather a blend of rustic and refined elements. The reception was a gorgeous and a luxe blend of these two elements. Our custom made lucite centrepieces constructed with birch logs created a Muskoka feel while still retaining an elegant vibe. The backdrop was constructed with our custom french tufted panels and our handmade paper flowers. As the rain continued to fall guests enjoyed an evening of gourmet food, dancing and of course loads of laughter. Loved the images from the talented Rowell Photography and we are thrilled to share them with you! For always stylish weddings in the Muskoka or Toronto regions visit us at www.rachelaclingen.com

Muskoka Inspired Wedding On Wilson Lake

On a lovely fall day on the shores of Wilson Lake, Scott and Leah professed their love for each other in front of friends and family. The Muskoka inspired wedding was loaded with rustic details including birch accents in the flowers and decor and was recently featured in the pages of Elegant Wedding Magazine.  Scott and Leah are long time friends of ours so we were super excited to be able to be a part of their special day! The centrepieces, which were tall stands made from birch logs were custom designed for this wedding and were a show stopper in the wedding tent. Even the backdrop was made from birch logs. Leah’s mother, Ruthanne is an interior design goddess so her special touches were evident throughout the wedding. You just know how much fun she and Rachel had with all the plans for the wedding!
