I love the rich colours often associated with Indian and south asian weddings and this gorgeous shoot recently featured in Lavish Dulhan Magazine is no exception. On a very hot summer day, a few of Toronto’s leading vendors collaborated to execute this beautiful wedding creative loaded with brilliant jewelled toned, colourful flowers and decor. A blend of rustic elements and luxurious details set the stage for our beautiful harvest table and ceremony, while the country side setting and natural elements were the perfect canvas for this backyard affair. We designed a spectacular floral arch with local foliage, branches and gorgeous fresh flowers. I often love to work with an ‘un-thought of’, ‘pop of colour’ separate from the initial palette and this time, black details such as the water goblets and saree added a visual twist. I was inspired by the harshness of the black fence amongst the more neutral tones of the summer grasses, fields and trees carried this colour throughout the shoot.
