There were a few different reasons I loved working with Skylar and Adam for their stunning wedding at Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. First off, we had worked closely with some of Adams’ siblings for their weddings and so we have to come to love this family. We also loved both Adam and Skyars creative input into their wedding design. From our first meeting, they both knew the direction they wanted to take for the floral and decor. Stylish, chic, and not over done. (it also had to be different then the other family weddings) Together with wedding planner Melissa Baum, we checked the boxes. But I also loved their engagment story because I knew it would be a good one! Sky and Adams’ story started when they met on a dating app. Little did they know, Sky’s best friend happened to be Adams’ first cousin. Six years and a home later Adam proposed.
Adam the creative an romatic type thought outside the box for the most romantic proposal location. Sky’s office is in a historical Toronto landmark and has an unbelievable concert hall on the main floor. Adam managed to book this concert hall for the special occasion.
At the end of the work day, Sky’s boss asked her to go into the concert hall to introduce herself to one of her new colleagues. When she opened the door, Adam was there with Candles, rose pedals, and a legendary concert hall all to ourselves. He popped the question and she said yes, of course. The rest is history!
I loved the simplicity and repetition of their design. White stemmed roses on repeat. The chuppah design perhaps crossed the line of ‘understated’ but it was the one thing Sky and Adam wanted fullness and texture.
I love how it turned out and was delighted once again to add a precious family tapestry to the design.
Thank you Adam and Skylar for trusting us with your special day!
We might not have been in Italy, but Brad and Lauras’ stunning wedding at Ricardas was bursting with all the beauty the Almalfi has to offer! Laura explains, ” I have Italian heritage and Brads family loves vacationing In the Amalfi so we came up with a colourful fun vibrant Amalfi coast themed wedding and it had to include lemon trees! The bright colours and fun palette also represent us as a couple.”
The task was a high calling, but together with wedding planner Melissa Baum, and our team, Ricardas venue was transformed into the sweet couples dream. Details included custom graphics for napkins and a tiled seating chart. The life size lemon tree we designed was a show stopper and I couldn’t be more proud of our team for an incredible installation! Built in just a few hours, the masterpiece loaded with hundreds of lemons and foraged fresh branches towered over 18 feet and created the most impressive focal point. It wasn’t just the lemon tree that made the magic, but also we have to talk about the stunning bougainvillea chuppah. Our team designed a ‘like it grew there’ type of canopy with layers of bougainvillea vines and topped it with the family heirloom silk topper. Laura shared her sentiments with us, “We love how creative you were and how you took my vision and elevated it beyond belief. You understood how to execute the perfect lemon tree and bougainvillea Chuppah, BUT you were also playful, and fun with your vision and creativity.” Thank you Laura and Brad for trusting us with such a special assignment! What a pleasure to work with you! For a full list of vendors, see bottom of post.
Planning a wedding around pandemic restrictions meant that Ethan and Brittany had to make some shift in plans. But that didn’t stop these love birds from finding a way to host the most magical and dreamy wedding. Their once larger scale venue planned wedding, would instead end up being the most intimate and beautiful event hosted in the brides parents backyard. Working closely with Toronto wedding planner Michelle from Fab Fete, our team transformed a clear top tent into a dreamy garden for both the ceremony and reception. The sweet couple who grew up just five minutes apart said their I do’s under a gorgeous floating floral chuppah for their jewish ceremony. During the cocktail hour around the pool, we transformed the tent once again to the most stunning reception space and created modern garden vibes. Accented with table top floral bridges and the most beautiful collection of crystal and candles the guest tables brought sophistication and elegance to this backyard affair. We asked Brittany why they chose us to create the magic for their special day. “We chose Rachel A. Clingen, because we felt that no one can do what their team can.” Brittany added.. “I also liked that every event they create is unique and never a copy!” Thankyou Brittany! Mazel Tov to our beautiful couple!
