I’m so excited to share Toronto Maple Leaf, NHL Hockey player, Mitch Marner and his university sweet heart Stephanie’s beautiful wedding. What a pleasure to work with this couple on their stunning tent wedding at Peller Estates. Stephanies’ kind and sweet spirit made our meetings special! The couple initially met in elementary school, however Stephanie shares, ” We reconnected when I was at Western University and he was playing hockey for the London Knights. He messaged me on my 19th birthday, we eventually got together and then have been together ever since.” Six years later, Mitch proposed at their Muskoka cottage surrounded by their family!
We worked closely on the design of this wedding with wedding planner Ellie Eccleton, from Muse Events and the day could not have been more perfect.
As the rain fell, you could feel the love as the beautiful couple exchanged vows in an intimate tented ceremony at the Riverbend Inn. Beautiful Stephanie, walked up a floral lined aisle to the most stunning european inspired floral arch.
Our team designed and created some beautiful floral features in the reception tent that kept in sync with the vineyard setting at the Niagara venue. The creative floor plan included two seating area vignette, accented with over sized urns filled with lilac and other foliage branches.
The creative process focussed on an interior design kind of nuance mixed with modern garden vibes. Stylish details such as custom sofas and throw pillows were on pointe. The effortless yet sophisticated style was a vibe we still aren’t over.
Thank you Mitch and Steph for trusting us with your special day.
Special thanks to 5ive15ifteen for such beautiful images. For a full list of vendors, see bottom of post.
Sweet hearts since grade nine, Alessandra and Stephens’ wedding 10 years later, was an affair to remember. We were extra excited about this one, because Stephen is a brother to long time friend, the talented wedding planner Michelle, from Sincerely Yours Events. It was such an honour to collaborate with Michelle and the beautiful couple because we knew it had to be special. Both the bride and groom are Italian and had travelled to Lake Como. Inspired by its beauty and architecture, their design brought together subtle nuances of the region into the indoor space of Copper Creek. Michelle designed custom bar structures that elevated the space and created a unique touch. Another favourite design element was the unique and ‘not used so often’ combination colour palette of dusty blue sprinkled with hints of yellow. Combined with our towering oversized floral features and a custom marble dance floor, and customized ‘ode to Nonna napkins’, Copper Creek was transformed into a little piece of Italy. Congratulations Stephen and Alessandra! For a full list of vendors, see bottom of post.
Jennifer and Liads’ stunning wedding at the Four Seasons in Toronto, captured the essence of a modern flower garden. We loved working with Liad and Jennifer, and I can’t help but share their adorable love story. I love hearing about how our clients meet, and often find their stories heartwarming. This is a good one… After seeing Jennifer and her adorable puppy on Hinge, Liad sent an instagram asking about her sweet pup Juliet, but really, it was Jennifer that really caught his eye. Three years later he surprised her with a trip to New York where he proposed in Central Park. And so Juliet would become a very important part of their story and and of course their wedding day. Ok, lets talk design, because I really love the freshness of this one. We worked closely with wedding planner Melissa Baum to create a fresh summer look for the lovely couple. Hundreds of hydrangeas were the flower of focus and created a stylish feel every where the eye could see. The beautiful chuppah was a design high light for me. Rose and hydrangea garlands spiralled around a modern four post structure and captured every design goal we were hoping to achieve, which included a modern spin on a garden vibe.
Congratulations Liad and Jennifer. Thankyou for trusting us with your special day. It was a pleasure to create for you.
