Muskoka Tent Magnolia Wedding The Rustic Meets The Refined

It was all about rustic elegance and pretty magnolias for Lisa and Chris’s beautiful Muskoka tent wedding.  The couple chose the family cottage to host friends and family to an intimate and beautiful tented wedding. We worked closely with the couple to design the wedding of their dreams. The ceremony took place on top of the stately boathouse which over looked the beautiful Muskoka lake in Huntsville, Ontario. The decor was elegant but not stuffy. Lisa and Chris wanted guests to feel at home. We designed a beautiful magnolia and branch canopy feature that was suspended over the dance floor. The mix of branches and florals Guests dined at gallery tables which were detailed with alternating rows of centrepieces. Tall modern gold stands with candles lined the tables along with low rows of pink and cream flowers. After the reception, guests would enjoy a fabulous desert station in the boat house.  Our modern gold square chandeliers added soft lighting and a modern touch.  This beautiful Muskoka Tent Wedding created beautiful memories for Lisa and Chris and we are so thankful to have participated!  Special thanks to Cravings Fine foods for working so closely with us on this assignment as well as Jennifer Van Son Photography for sharing these beautiful images with us!

Magical Art Gallery Of Ontario Wedding

Rouzhin and Naram celebrated their high style wedding day with two beautiful ceremonies and an amazing reception at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The first ‘i do’s’ were exchanged at St Paul’s Basilica followed by a Persian ceremony at the Art Gallery Of Ontario.  In an ode to Marie Antoinette’s ‘Enchanted Garden’, we staged some incredible floral and decor that captivated guests. We designed custom floral tree centrepieces and and a spectacular  20-ft wide suspended floral canopy over the dance floor creating a magical space.  In addition, suspended floral chandeliers made with wisteria, roses and foliage added soft and romantic lighting over the elongated gallery tables. There was just no shortage of flowers and every corner of room had unique and carefully planned decor elements. Our designs meetings with Naram and Rouzhin were so much fun. Rouzhins passion for pretty things energized our creative process.  This fabulous wedding was planned to perfection by the amazing Laura & Co. Events and captured perfectly by 5ive 15ifteen so we were all thrilled to see it unveiled in the pages of Wedluxe magazine.

Capella Ixtapa, The Perfect Wedding, Honeymoon Destination

A stay at Capella Ixtapa, is the perfect honeymoon or time to get away and experience luxurious relaxation and the finest of cuisine. Planning a destination wedding and looking for the perfect location? Capella, boasts a beautiful cliffside resort over looking the beautiful pacific coast on the outskirts of Ixtapa, Mexico.  This luxurious and intimate boutique resort is noted for their stunning guest rooms, each with their own private furnished balconies, and plunge pools with panoramic views of the rugged coastline.  Ok so we weren’t on our honeymoon, but we like to think we were! David and I enjoyed a week at this exclusive destination and had the opportunity to work closely with the amazing staff to design a table-scape for a private dinner on the beautiful ocean side terrace. How could I resist the beautiful bougainvillea flowers found all over the property? Few things excite me like design, and not even the scorching heat could discourage me from foraging the properties natural elements. I searched for natural finds and gathered aged coconuts and coral pieces along with washed up drift wood. Together they would create a stunning table-scape ready to host an intimate and private dinner. Speaking of dinner.. Can we talk about the incredible cuisine at Capella? We were quickly in love with their mouth watering fresh Civiche.  There is a menu of sorts, but custom al-la-carte dining seemed to be the way things went. Fresh fish caught in the morning, done up any way you like it, was always the specialty and the personal connection with the chef was a nice touch. Then there was the rooms. If you never left your private oasis for the entire stay, it would still be a vacation to remember. The plunge pools heated to your liking, along with the furnished terraces, and the best room service ever, one might not venture out, but should you choose to leave, impeccable service and that cliff side infinity pool will more then satisfy. Many thanks to the entire staff and general manager Phillip for such personal service! We can’t wait to return and have plans for something special at this one-of-a-kind resort.
